Prize Draw Specific Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms & conditions (“Specific Terms”) carefully. Together with the Prize Draw General Terms and Conditions (“General Terms”). The Specific Terms provide the official terms and conditions applicable to this Prize Draw. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, these Specific Terms will prevail.

Capitalised terms in these Specific Terms have the meaning given to them in the General Terms.

By entering this Prize Draw you are agreeing to be bound by these Specific Terms and the General Terms.

Prize Draw Details

Promoter: Schneider Electric Limited of Stafford Park 5, Telford, England, TF3 3Bl (“Schneider Electric”)
Prizes: Schneider Electric have a total of 100 Prizes to be won which consists of the following:
  1. Milwaukee Screwdriver kits: 1 available
  2. Pens: 40 available
  3. Charging cable: 20 available
  4. Water bottle: 39 available
Eligibility: Subject to any eligibility requirements or any other terms in the General Terms, a Panel Builder, Contractor or Specifier/Consultant resident in Ireland who visits the Schneider Electric stand at any of the locations listed on the “Locations” between 29th April and 14th June 2024 and submits their details on the game pod shall be eligible to spin and play the game to win one Prize.
How to Enter: The Schneider Electric Panel Builder and Contractor Roadshow will run from 29th April to 14th June (the “Event”). Subject to the General Terms, any contractor attending the Event who visits the Schneider Electric stand and who wishes to participate in Prize Draw should:
  1. tap “play” on the game pod screen;
  2. complete the form on the screen with their details;
  3. click “enter” to be in with a chance to win a Prize;
  4. Spin the digital wheel to be randomly allocated a Prize
Everyone who enters is a winner of a Prize which will be awarded on the stand on the day. Please note that entering the Prize Draw is free and there are no associated costs for applicants entering into the Prize Draw.

Prize draw general terms and conditions

Please read these terms & conditions carefully. Together with the Specific Terms, a copy of which can be found on the publication for each Prize Draw, the General Terms provide the official terms and conditions applicable to all Prize Draws. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between these General Terms and the Specific Terms, the Specific Terms will prevail.

By entering a Prize Draw you are agreeing to be bound by the General Terms and the Specific Terms.

1.
THE PROMOTER
The promoter is: Schneider Electric Limited of Stafford Park 5, Telford, England, TF3 3Bl (“Schneider Electric”).
2.
DEFINITIONS
The following definitions and rules of interpretation apply in the General Terms and the Specific Terms.
  • "Closing Date" - means the closing date and time for a Prize Draw as set out in the Specific Terms;
  • "General Terms" - means these terms and conditions;
  • "Opening Date" - means the opening date for a Prize Draw as set out in the Specific Terms;
  • "Prize" - means the prize for a Prize Draw as set out in the Specific Terms;
  • "Prize Draw" - means any prize promotion by Schneider Electric and offered to its customers or members of the public from time to time;
  • "Specific Terms" - means the individual terms and conditions that apply to the relevant Prize Draw launched by Schneider Electric to members of the public from time to time; and
  • "Winner Announcement Date(s)" - means the winner announcement date(s) for a Prize Draw as set out in the Specific Terms.
3.
APPLICABILITY
3.1 These General Terms are applicable to every Prize Draw launched by Schneider Electric on the Opening Date, as specified in the Specific Terms, subject to all applicable local and international laws and regulations.
3.2 In addition to these General Terms, each Prize Draw shall also be governed by the Specific Terms which shall apply in addition to these General Terms. The Specific Terms will contain the further details and requirements of the individual Prize Draw and any variations from these General Terms.
3.3 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of the General Terms as set out below and the Specific Terms, the provisions of the Specific Terms shall prevail.
3.4 Any reference to the “Terms and Conditions” in relation to a Prize Draw shall be a reference to both these General Terms and the Specific Terms.
4.
ELIGIBILITY
4.1 The Prize Draw is open only to residents in Ireland, aged 18 years or over, except:
4.1.1 employees of Schneider Electric or its holding or subsidiary companies.
4.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of Schneider Electric or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the Prize Draw or its administration.
4.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above; or
4.1.4 any persons that are ineligible to apply for the Prize Draw on the basis of any additional requirements set out in the Specific Terms.
4.2 In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so, have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry and are eligible to claim any Prize you may win. Schneider Electric may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
4.3 Schneider Electric will not accept Prize Draw entries that are:
4.3.1 automatically generated by computer
4.3.2 completed by third parties or in bulk.
4.3.3 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged, or tampered with; or
4.3.4 incomplete.
4.4 Entrants are only permitted to submit one entry per person to the Prize Draw.
4.5 Schneider Electric reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.
4.6 Prize Draw entries cannot be returned.
5.
HOW TO ENTER
5.1 The Prize Draw will run from the Opening Date to the Closing Date.
5.2 All Prize Draw entries must be received by Schneider Electric by the Closing Date. All Prize Draw entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
5.3 To enter the Prize Draw, applicants must follow any of the procedure for entry as specified by the Specific Terms. This is an online promotion only, there is no postal or telephone application route.
5.4 For the avoidance of doubt, you may require a computer or other internet-enabled device and an internet connection to enter the Prize Draw. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure permission is gained from the owner of the computer and the individual who pays for the internet service provider. No refund may be claimed for expenses related to the use of an internet connection for the purpose of participating in this Prize Draw.
5.5 Schneider Electric will not accept:
5.5.1 responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged, or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, because of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
5.5.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.
5.6 By submitting a Prize Draw entry, you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. You further acknowledge that for Schneider Electric to administer this Prize that personal details may be shared with their third-party provider. Before any personal details of the winner will be shared, the winner will be asked for their consent to share such details with the third-party provider.
6.
SELECTION OF WINNERS
6.1 Subject to the Specific Terms and these General Terms, every entry to the Prize Draw will be automatically eligible for a Prize.
7.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
7.1 The decision of Schneider Electric is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7.2 Winners of a Prize shall be notified at the Event by Schneider Electric.
8.
THE PRIZE
8.1 The Prize available for the Prize Draw will be specified by the Specific Terms.
8.2 Prizes are subject to availability. Schneider Electric reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of reasonable equivalent value, as may be set out in the Specific Terms.
8.3 The Prize is not negotiable or transferable.
9.
CLAIMING THE PRIZE
9.1 All Prizes will be provided to winners at the Event. Staff will be on hand at the Schneider Electric stand at the event to assist and provide Prizes to winners where applicable.
9.3 A Prize(s) may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
9.4 Schneider Electric does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize.
10.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, Schneider Electric, its agents, or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Schneider Electric, its agents, or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
11.
OWNERSHIP OF PRIZE DRAW ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
11.1 All Prize Draw entries and any accompanying material submitted to Schneider Electric will become the property of Schneider Electric on receipt and will not be returned.
11.2 By submitting your Prize Draw entry and any accompanying material, you agree to:
11.2.1 assign to Schneider Electric all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and
11.2.2 waive all moral rights,
in and to your Prize Draw entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

12.3 Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Republic of Ireland. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of Republic of Ireland.

15.
GENERAL
15.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, Schneider Electric may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the Prize Draw.
15.2 Schneider Electric reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so without any liability.
15.3 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Republic of Ireland law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Republic of Ireland.

5. What type of personal information do we process?

Schneider Electric processes various types of personal information including identity and contact related information, professional related information, information about preferences, interactions with us, financial related information, online traffic data and the content you provide to us. In most instances this information is obtained from customers, partners and users. We also purchase lists from marketing agencies and obtain information from our partners, through Cookies and social networks.

Personal information (also called personal data) is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. An identifiable individual is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

The types of personal information we process about you may include:

  • Identity and contact related information, such as name, company, email address, phone number, photo, age range, contact addresses;
  • Professional information, such as customer type, purchasing authority, purchasing timeframe; acquisition and use of Schneider Electric products, services and digital content;
  • Information (e.g. energy consumption) which is specific to the digital platform you use
  • Your preferences such as product and service preferences, contact preferences, marketing preferences;
  • Your interactions with us such as queries, orders, claims, survey answers;
  • Financial-related information such as bank account details, credit card information;
  • Online traffic data such as IP address, device and system identifiers, your Schneider Electric user ID and password, referring website, type of browser used, consulted content, and location, based either on your IP address or on information transmitted by your mobile device;
  • Content that you have provided via online forums or otherwise (see section 6 “Your content” below).

This Privacy Policy does not cover personal information rendered anonymous, that is if individuals are no longer identifiable or are identifiable only with a disproportionately large expense in time, cost, or labour. If anonymized data becomes identifiable, then this Privacy Policy shall apply.

In most instances we collect personal information directly from users who have a business relationship with us. We may also obtain information through a reseller or a business partner, by purchasing customer lists from marketing agencies, from your online browsing experience, from social networks when you connect with these network's credentials and through Cookies. You may choose to contribute content, including photos or comments, to online forums, applications or other digital platforms operated by Schneider Electric. Your content must be harmless. It must respect the law, the rights and interests of others. Need to have obtained consent before sharing someone else's data. You should apply caution before sharing information in a forum.

The content provided to us must respect the rights and interests of others, including their rights to protection of personal information and privacy. It should not be offensive, disrespectful or be harmful in any way.

Any provision of personal information to Schneider Electric about another individual must be compliant with privacy laws, including with notice and consent requirements for the disclosure of that information.

While Schneider Electric strives to protect your personal information, providing it online on shared forums is not risk-free. If you post, comment, indicate interest, or share personal information, including photographs, to any forum, social network or blog, please be aware that any personal information you submit can be read, viewed, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to contact you, send you unsolicited messages, or for purposes that neither you nor Schneider Electric have control over. Schneider Electric is not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums. You should apply caution before deciding to share information about yourself or another person.

7. Who do we share personal information with?

We share personal information with the Schneider Electric subsidiaries and the service providers involved in our activities, with advertising and marketing agencies, with social networks if you use their login credentials, with third-party websites if you register with Schneider Electric credentials, competent regulatory bodies and authorities and business successors.

Schneider Electric is a global group of companies which works as one. To provide the best service to customers, prospects and users, personal data may be shared amongst personnel working for different entities. It may be the case, for example, for customer relationship management, sales or product support, marketing, product development purposes, improvement of the products, services and digital content, data quality checks, or security, finance, regulatory and compliance purposes.

We resort to service providers to carry out data processing activities and to provide our products, services and online content to you. These service providers include, without limitation, providers of hosting facilities, information systems, advertising and marketing agencies, IT support, security services, financial services, carriers who deliver products, outside accounting firms, lawyers and auditors.

We ensure all service providers working under contract for Schneider Electric are compliant with data privacy laws and aligned with Schneider Electric guidelines.

We also share the information as follows:

  • In connection with the provision of advertising, we may share some limited personal information (e.g. device identifiers, Cookie identifiers) with ad exchanges or agencies that manage advertising on third-party websites and apps on which you may see advertising.
  • You may access our digital content and/or register through login credentials of third-party websites (such as Facebook and LinkedIn). If you do so, we will be able to access some of the information you registered on these social networks, to assist you to pre-fill the registration form for Schneider Electric digital content. By using the login credentials of these third-party websites, you may at the same time inform your contacts on these sites that you have created an account with Schneider Electric. Schneider Electric and all its subsidiaries must ensure that the above principles are complied with.

Schneider Electric collects personal information in order to deliver offers and promotions and to enable loyalty programmes. 3. What types of personal information do we process?

We process the following categories of personal information for the data processing purposes indicated below, which are necessary to for the performance of a contractual relationship or preliminary steps:

  • For the purpose of the operations of the game, we keep the data you provided for a duration not exceeding 6 months after the end of the game.
  • In the case you consented to promotional electronic communications we keep the data you provided for a duration not exceeding 36 months after your latest interaction with our communications.

Personal information will be processed by our affiliates and suppliers involved in the provision of the services and in the performance of the purposes described in Section 3.
